As specialists in unit developments and small lot design, our proficiency is applied when we design multi-unit sites that unlock the full potential of the lot. The clients presented us with a 700sqm block with existing house that was to be demolished. Having a level flat site without much variance in ground levels is always a bonus when designing units which maximises the investors profits.
The brief was to design a grouped development made up of 3 family homes and as a result, maximise return on the investment. The clients requested a modern elevation with timber cladding to keep the style clean and simple.
In order to make effective use of the space on each lot, all three units are two stories high with open plan living areas. Unit 1 was designed off the primary street and incorporates stone cladding that enhances the streetscape whilst the other two units are easily accessible with entries off the driveway.
Each unit has been carefully thought out to accommodate a family with children. They all include four bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, powder room, garage and alfresco plus a spacious activity area with study nook. With all the necessities of a family home, the units are an ideal concept for a first home buyer or as an investment property.
