SOUTH FREMANTLE ADDITION & RENOVATION
Nestled in the heart of South Fremantle and inspired by the laid back natural surroundings of the area, our clients approached us with the intention of restoring their existing house and adding more space for their growing family. The end result, an effortlessly stylish and modern day family home.
The transformation started with removing the carport, face brick front fence, verandah and front garden beds to show off the spacious porch. The front elevation makes use of flat roof lines plus a raking ceiling paired alongside corten steel cladding producing a sleek street appeal. The four bedrooms at the front were left in place and the rear section of the house was removed to create room for the jaw dropping open plan living room, connected with the dining and kitchen, which then opens out to the spacious alfresco and backyard for the whole family to enjoy.
The wet areas including scullery, laundry and family bathroom were centrally located for accessibility and to provide separation between the bedroom quarters and living rooms. East facing highlight windows allow the morning sun to enlighten the otherwise dark south facing dining room.
